in the Wolfsbachhütte!

The Wolfsbachhütte is nestled in a beautiful valley basin (also called the valley of 1000 orchids) in a quiet, fascinating landscape!

You will feel at home in our alpine hut. Especially in our dormer rooms, from which you can look out over the entire valley. Our hut rooms are furnished with furniture made from local wood. One bedroom is even made of stone pine. The pleasant scent of wood ensures a peaceful and restful sleep. After an impressive hike you can relax your muscles in the Finnish sauna.

The space in front of the hut invites you to relax. And a fireplace made of natural stones and a grill ensure a romantic atmosphere. You get a delicious Brettljause with farm specialties for FREE if you stay at least 5 nights.

In our alpine hut there is also a dairy. Grandpa Hans also lives in the hut during the months of July and August, so our guests can experience alpine life up close. We produce milk and cheese products from our alpine milk (hay milk), for which we have already received 7 gold medals.

Advantage: Grandpa Hans also heats the hut (July & August) and makes sure that the electricity works in the hut. You are welcome to accompany him on the way to the alpine pastures to our cows. Our grandfather knows a lot about the landscape, life on the alpine pastures and is literally "ambassador of the farming world". From the beginning of September the hut will be yours alone!

Location: In a wide basin on the Katschberg in the Lieser-Maltatal near three other alpine huts. Here you have a view over the whole valley.

Access: 5 km from Rennweg, gravel road
